About Wheelies Rest

This property can accommodate up to 15 guests. The nightly rate includes up to 4 guests, extra guests are charged $50 per night.

Wheelies Rest is fully wheelchair accessible and located just under one and a half hours drive from Melbourne and 15 minutes from Bendigo.

Located on 20 acres of semi-bush in the beautiful and tranquil countryside.

Wake up in the morning to be greeted by kangaroos in the front paddock just meters from the door. But you have to be quite when opening the door as the noise will scare them off.

Sit outside on those warm balmy nights and watch the sky turn black (there is no city light pollution here) and see the sky peppered with stars and the Milky Way.

Wheelies Rest Axe Creek is the ideal venue for individuals or groups wanting to partake of Astrophotography with these amazing conditions. See the astro photo taken and featured in the images below.

Bendigo, just down the road from Wheelies Rest Axe Creek, has a rich history being the center of the Victorian Gold Rush in the mid 1800’s. There is so much to see and do in the area. Lake Eppalock is a 10 minute drive East of Wheelies Rest and offers water sports and fishing.

You can either prepare your evening meal on site or visit Bradies Pub in Strathfieldsaye where you will be greeted by the typical warm, country hospitality.

Wheelies Rest puts you in easy reach of many more wonderful activities located in Central Victoria.

PLEASE NOTE:
Conditions apply: (2) two night minimum stay. Two (2) bedroom unit is also available for additional cost. This brings total sleeping available for 15 pax.

Bedding is NOT provided however blankets are provided.

The property runs on tank water.
