Enable My Trip (EMT)  is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered in England, No. 1184400. EMT was formed to provide those with mobility and other challenges, a resource to locate accommodation and travel services worldwide. To be included in our listings, accommodation has to offer guests a wet room or 'roll-in shower'. We also include useful organisations within our website. As EMT is not commercially driven, we rely on fund raising and donations. We do not charge for any listings on our website.

Simon Miller MBA - Founder and Trustee. Over thirty years travel industry experience, in a variety of roles including corporate & business travel, tour operating, retail travel management. He has worked for an airline and since 1990 has travelled the world with two very disabled family members and is well experienced in the challenges which are encountered. Simon has a qualification in Health & Social Care. Simon is currently a business mentor for the charity 'The Prince's Trust'.

Paula Street - Trustee. Paula has worked with adults and children with disabilities for over twenty years, and has a formal qualification in autism. Paula has a particular interest in accessible travel as her daughter is dependant on a wheelchair and has often had to rely on travel agents who have sparse knowledge of what we really need. ' I felt a website that holds all of the information would be invaluable to individuals and families like myself and I am very happy to be involved '. Paula is a trained counsellor and has a key role in a local organisation for adults with special needs.

Patsy Hallmey BA(Hons) - Trustee. Patsy originally trained as teacher to post 16s with educational challenges. She has worked in marketing, communications and the exhibitions industry. In 2013, with her partner she formed the charity Dorset Children's Foundation (DCF), which supports disabled and life limited children and their families within the County. Patsy also is a committee member of the Regional Football Association's Diversity & Disabilty Inclusion Advisory Group.

Steve Butterworth -Trustee and Treasurer.  Steve has three adult children in his family , one of whom has a severe learning difficulty. He retired in 2019 after a career in IT within financial services. In his fifties he acquired a neurological condition similar to MS, which means that he can only walk a limited distance, find steps and stairs challenging and he now drives with the aid of hand controls. Steve continues to travel but spends far more time when planning a trip in order to ensure that everything meets his needs. A past treasurer and trustee of Southfield Riding for the Disabled Group, a Riding for the Disabled registered charity, Steve is currently the Chair of Governors of Montacute School, a special school for children aged 2-19 with severe, complex or profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Louise Northbrooke - Trustee. Louise is currently in her 25th year working within the travel industry, specialising in travel to Australia and New Zealand. During a career break Louise spent  ten years working as a teaching assistant in a local infant school. Some of this was spent working with children with a variety of special educational needs.  Louise was born with a bone disease that affects her tibia and as a result has some mobility issues. Louise says that  'Being involved with this charity has really been an eye opener. I am amazed at the amount of accommodation providers who simply do not provide services for those with a disability. Our charity aims to change all that' .
