About Melfort Pier & Harbour

Ten Scandinavian designed self catering accommodation are scattered along the shores of Loch Melfort, where the Highlands come down to the ocean. There are two private beaches, a small harbour and the ancient Pier. We have one bedroom suites, two and three bedroom accommodation We have 5 accommodations for the less able, all on one level, with roll in shower rooms.

Our area is famous for the warmth of its hospitality, breathtaking scenery, the wild and rocky indented coastline, ancient castles and standing stones.

There is an amazing variety of wildlife, on land as well on and under the sea. We are in the ancient Kingdom of Argyll, on the West Coast of Scotland. Just 16 miles south of Oban, which is the "Gateway" to the Scottish islands, like Mull, Barra, Tiree and many more islands.

Our aim at Melfort is to enable anyone to come and enjoy a relaxing holiday in this idyllic setting, therefore it was important to us to provide comfortable and accessible accommodation for our less able guests. We  are a cat. 2. 

Seven  of our houses are on one floor with ramps, parking for easy access, and all the required facilities in the bathroom. Please call us at 01852-200-333  and we will advise you which house would best suit your requirements.

The whole compound is tarmac, that makes it  very easy to get around. You can go all the way on the private Pier if you like to fish. Or take the dog out.  The houses have large low windows , so you can enjoy the ever chaining panorama. 

We have compiled a list of facilities with access for the disabled in the Oban and Lorn area.  Of course we will be happy to help with any other aspect of your stay here. A trip to Mull, Glen cove, the Gardens .
