High Catton Grange is situated in peaceful picturesque countryside and farmland at the foot of The Yorkshire Wolds and close to the historic city of York (park and ride only minutes away).
Whether you are a guest in one of our delightful holiday cottages or staying in our lovely Georgian farmhouse we endeavour to make your stay here enjoyable and memorable.
The Courtyard
This 5 star barn conversion is the largest of our cottages, it is very spacious throughout and there are 3 large bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 & 2 are double rooms both with King size beds, one has an en suite shower room and the other has a wet room suitable for wheel chair users and the less mobile, having achieved the mobility 2 accessibility grading.
Bedroom 3 is a twin room and although not en suite is next to the spacious main bathroom, which has a whirlpool bath.
The lounge has French doors onto a private enclosed patio (ideal for younger children) with garden furniture and from the patio there is access to the peaceful and relaxing farmhouse garden and also to a picnic/play area.
Through the lounge is the dining room with seating for 8 and this leads into the well appointed kitchen.
All through this cottage the space and width of doors and hallways makes it suitable for wheelchair users.
There are many places to visit whatever your taste, whether you choose the East Coast resorts for example Scarborough or Whitby, The North Yorkshire Moors, Herriot Country etc. not forgetting to mention all the Stately Homes and gardens to be found in the area, the list of destinations is endless.
The historic city of York is full of interest, the magnificent architecture of York Minster, the many museums and exhibitions, there is never enough time to explore this historic city.
Just a scenic drive away you will discover many market towns and villages, each with their own quintessential character.
Nearby there are very good country inns and restaurants serving excellent food and are displayed in the cottage and bedroom browsers.
