Peel Bothy is a wheelchair accessible single storey detached cottage located in an elevated position close to Hadrian’s Wall with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Peel Cottage is situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Take advantage of the area’s dark skies and enjoy an evening gazing up at the stars or have a trip to The Sill Discovery Centre. A short drive away is Allen Banks and Staward Gorge, a fairy-tale woodland with miles of walking trails. The cottage faces south and has oil-fired central heating with radiators in all rooms and a wood-burning stove in the sitting/dining room
Peel Cottage is a sturdy single-storey cottage perfect for a couple and two dogs. It was built in the 1850s and a plaque above the door records its opening by the late Queen Mother. Just a stone’s throw from Hadrian’s Wall, this cosy holiday cottage is the perfect base from which to explore wild Northumberland.
Step outside and make the short trip to the UK’s most famous Roman construction. Explore the wall before heading home to warm up infront of the log burner.
