Dorset self-catering cottage in Woodlands-sleeps 8- family friendly. Nature lover’s secret hideaway, Birchcroft nestles at the end of a winding lane, surrounded by rhododendrons in over an acre of land and enjoys walks into the local woodland. 

This beautiful chalet bungalow offers Accessible accommodation with ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms and is large enough for two families. Birchcroft has been awarded Mobility 1 & 2, Hearing 1 and Visual 1 – for part-time wheelchair users as well as people with hearing and visual difficulties. 

We have a wet room with wheeled shower stool, electric single bed, electric stand-up chair and a loop system. We have flashing smoke alarms, vibrating pillow and a personal alarm. 

The paddle staircase to the first floor is not suitable for those with disabilities, but we have 2 downstairs bedrooms, one with an extra wide door to accommodate a wheelchair. For Walkers and Cyclists, we have many facilities including Ordnance Survey maps and secure bike lockable points. 

We are M2 rated and can supply a copy of our Access Statement on request. We have a ramp to the front door, one disabilities bedroom with electric bed to help you get up, a ground floor wet-room, folding wheelchair to use, bed risers, toilet seat risers, perching stool, commode, folding walker, bed grab rail, grab rails in bathrooms, armed dining room chair and electric armchair in the lounge that helps you to stand up. H1 rated for hearing - we have a loop system and TV loop system in lounge V1 rated for visual - we have visual paint differences on doorways and flashing smoke alarms. We also have a vibrating pillow that can be requested.
