The Best Western Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne, is privately owned, and has been in the same family ownership since 1912. It is this that has given the hotel the personal touch that remains evident today. We are flattered that so many guests express their appreciation of this fact.
We have 2 disabled friendly rooms (adapted bathroom with wet room) - both are Standard Twin rooms.
The Hotel occupies a premier position on Eastbourne's elegant seafront overlooking the Western Lawns and Wish Tower with splendid views of Beachy Head and the sea.
The Congress Theatre, Winter Garden, Devonshire Park Theatre and grounds are just three or four minutes' walk away. Two theatres offer spectacular productions, and there are two cinemas: one a short walk away in the town centre, and one in the harbour. The 300m long pier also offers entertainment.
The cosmopolitan city of Brighton is 35 minutes away, and Tunbridge Wells 40 minutes. There is a wealth of picturesque villages in the surrounding areas, and Kent and Sussex boast glorious gardens, vineyards and historic homes - all of which are waiting to be explored.
We have 102 well furnished bedrooms of which we have 5 double bedded superior rooms, all south facing. All superior rooms are provided with bottled water and upgraded toiletries. We also have a number of family rooms available some of which are newly refurbished and can accommodate a family of 4.
