About Hilltop Hideaway

The villa was designed and constructed in 2009 with the needs of wheelchair users in mind. Till today it is a unique property in rural Andalusia with full accessibility, allowing wheelchair users and their families to experience the real Spain away from the crowds.

The villa has two separate apartments which can be rented together or separately.

Ground floor (Casa Brazos Abiertos)

The whole downstairs area is level, including the access to the pool. There are no steps, so that it is accessible for all generations regardless of their age and ability. It is not only appreciated by guests in wheelchair, but also by elderly and moms of toddlers.

The vast lounge area has several seating places. In the library you find many guides and lots of games and toys, allowing you to plan your discovery trips throughout the beautiful Andalusia, while your kids can keep themselves busy. The large selection of books and hundreds of films ensure that nobody in the family gets bored.

It is a delight to prepare your meals in the fully equipped professional kitchen. Alternatively you can visit one of the local restaurants, excellent value for money, or just stay home and order delicious meals from a local bar.

Upstairs apartment (Hilltop Hideaway)

A separate entrance, from the ground floor of the villa, leads to the staircase of the apartment. Hence this part can be totally separate from the ground floor.

The apartment sleeps 5 persons. It contains one triple room with a king size bed and an additional single bed (17 m2) with ensuite bathroom with shower; and one twin bedroom (14 m2) with bathroom with bathtub.

The living room has a cosy seating area where you can gather and relax after your discovery trips to Granada, Malaga or Cordoba. The living room leads to a private terrace where you can watch the beautiful colourful sunset which will surprise you every evening. But it is not the end of the show, when it gets completely dark at night, thousands of stars light up above you. During chillier evenings light some wood in the log burner and enjoy the dancing lights of the warming flames and the crisping sound of the burning wood.

You can have fun cooking in the fully equipped American kitchen, or just visit a local bar and discover the rich Andalusian cuisine.

The villa is fully registered and it is the only casa rural superior in the area, offering unrivalled standard of accommodation. The villa, rewarded with an ”A” grade energy certificate, keeps you nice cool in the summer. It is also equipped with biomass underfloor heating, making it a perfect holiday home all year around. Its rooms are bigger than usual giving you and airy feeling even if you holiday with a big family.
