The Stamford Grand is situated overlooking Glenelg Beach, one of Adelaide’s most popular seaside destinations. The hotel has 220 rooms with an ocean or city view. All accessible rooms have a 'city view' which is actually looking out to the rear of the hotel. These rooms do not have a balcony or terrace, but a good sized wet room with a roll-in shower.
Some guests with limited mobility may be able to use one of the rooms which feature a balcony and lovely sea view. There is a walk in shower, but the bathroom is probably not suitable for all.
The outdoor swimming pool is not accessible and is accessed on both sides up a number of steps.
The position of the hotel right on the beach gives the Stamford Grand one on the best locations in Glenelg - it is literally minutes from the tram stop (wheelchair accessible trams) into Adelaide. The promenade affords good access if you fancy taking a long stroll.
