Simply called Americain by locals, this hotel is located on one of the capital's most famous squares. The hotel was renamed as Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American after the building became the property of the Hard Rock Group in 2019. The current building dates from its reconstruction at the turn of the last century designed by architects Kromhout and Jansen, who remade the hotel in Art Nouveau style. Its interior is an interesting fusion of jugendstil and rock decorative elements.
