Ceannard is a new barn conversion in 2021 and is ideal for those with a love of island life and Gaelic culture. Indeed, the owner, Mary, a teacher of Gaelic is on hand to offer an introduction to the Gaelic language for those wishing to learn more about this living language of the Western Isles. For those who are learning the language, she can offer one to one tuition to any level.
The area is still crofted in the traditional way and wandering the tracks and paths will lead you to see the activities of the crofting community. Mary has crofted for many years and is hugely informative on the history of the crofting communities.
