Braddan Bridge House, located in the Isle of Man's capital, Douglas, hosts apartments available for the needs of all disabled guests and allow them to experience the beauty of the island and the excitement of the TT races.
Braddan Bridge House was designed from the start with the disabled guest in mind. The complex consists of five self-contained apartments, one of which is a single bedroom and the remaining four all being two bedroomed. All bedrooms are twin bedded. We understand the needs of the less able visitor and can assist in every aspect of holiday life including support getting about the island.
The rooms can be equipped with either hoists and/or raising beds and all our shower and bathroom facilities are wheelchair friendly. There is a platform lift that provides access to the first floor. We have disabled staff or trustees within our foundation who themselves face the differing requirements of our visitors and have helped in the design of the house and our rooms.
The Joey Dunlop Holiday Home was formally opened on the 6th June 2010 by Linda Dunlop accompanied by John McGuinness and we are proud to bear the name of one of the TT's most famous riders - our charity caries his spirit and fortitude and represents the very best for disabled visitors. The JDF is run by experienced staff. Two new apartments were added in 2017, officially opened by Gary Dunlop and William Dunlop.
