Two of our apartments are wheelchair accessible.
Villa La Rogaia is situated on the hills above Lake Trasimeno, in Umbria on the border with Tuscany. It is a rural holiday home with an artistic flair and a family atmosphere. At La Rogaia you can enjoy a relaxing holiday in apartments for 2 - 10 people. You can also rent the whole Villa for groups and seminars. Pets are allowed.
Our holiday apartments "Il Peperino" and "La Nostalgia" are accessible for wheelchairs: ground floor access, wide doorways, ample space in all rooms, specially adapted kitchen and bathroom facilities, easily accessible terraces and balcony. Il Peperino and La Nostalgia can be connected with each other to provide suitable accomodation for other family or group members (up to a total of 7 persons).
Accomodation details for both apartments:
Door width: 0.9 yd.
Bathrooms: Shower to be wheeled in straight, shower chair with flexible height. Toilet height 0.55 yd; Space next to toilet left 0.27 yd, right 1.18 yd. Handles will be placed according to need. Wash basin to be wheeled straight under, visibility in mirror from sitting position.
Space next to bed 1.64 yd. Height of bed (with matress) 0.59 yd.
Il Peperino: This two-bedroom apartment is centered around the traditional Umbrian kitchen. Here everybody meets in front of the open fireplace for cooking, taking meals, playing and relaxing. There is space for a family or group of four, with the possibility of additional sleeping accomodation for two more persons. All rooms are furnished with paintings, reliefs and sculptures by the artist Wolfgang Sandt. The kitchen workplace is made of Peperino sandstone and black slate in combination with sun coloured yellow tiles. On summer days you can enjoy your meals on the shaded terrace in front of the kitchen. The windows of this apartment open towards the flower garden, meadows, olive groves and rolling hills to the South, East and North.
La Nostalgia: Come to vacation rental "La Nostalgia" (75 sqm) at La Rogaia: Old furniture give this two bedroom apartment a nostalgic flair. Through windows framed in ivy there is a view of our large sun terrace and rose garden perched at the edge of endless rolling hills. There is space for a family or group of up to six. The spacious balcony in front of the kitchen invites for leisurly meals and sunbathing. An Italian style holiday home like in times gone by….
The swimming pool is accessible with a wheelchair however depending on the degree of disability you might need assistance to get there. There is no lift to get into the pool.
