For visual impairments, expect audio alarms, accessible paths and always ADA-approved rooms. For hearing loss, think of sound amplifiers, visual alarms, and closed caption services throughout. And we haven’t forgotten about those with cognitive differences either, including the option of autism-certified hotels with low sensory areas and specially trained staff.

We know not all disabilities are visible or immediately obvious. They can include (but are not limited to) autism, chronic pain, learning difficulties, mental health conditions, mobility, speech impairments, and sensory loss - such as speech, sight loss, hearing loss, or deafness. They also include respiratory conditions as well as chronic conditions such as diabetes and sleep disorders when these significantly impact day-to-day life.
