About Elevated Holiday Homes

The brainchild of a Social Worker and a Civil Engineer, Elevated was formed in 2021 with a mission to help the world of holidaymaking for people living with mobility disabilities.

Co-Founders Sylvia Mahal and Paul Reade have very different backgrounds, but a shared passion for Elevated.

Sylvia has spent her life caring for others, beginning with her father, who suffered with cerebral palsy, all the way through to adulthood, where she fosters teenagers with disabilities.

Paul has worked as a Civil Engineer for most of his professional life incorporating DDA into the designs of stations and delivery of majior infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.

It was a chance meeting online and a shared passion for property, holiday and problem solving that brought Paul and Sylvia together. Despite the many obstacles that Sylvia has to overcome daily, both as a Social Worker and at home, it is the distinct lack of holiday destinations suitable for people with disabilities that ranks as one of her chief frustrations. Something so simple continues to prove so elusive. Ever the problem solver, Paul recognised a potential solution through property investment and the rest is becoming history with its dose of challenges.

In may 2022, Elevated opened its first property to guests in Plymouth and, as of today, projects two and three are under development in Poole, Weymouth and Sandwich in Kent. Planning permission has also been approved for the inaugural new build in North Yorkshire.
