Enable My Trip (EMT)  is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered in England, No. 1184400. We are grateful to our trustees for their commitment to ensuring that EMT is promoted and funded to ensure that we offer our users the best possible experience.

Simon Miller MBA

Founder and Trustee. Over thirty years travel industry experience, in a variety of roles including corporate & business travel, tour operating, retail travel management. He has worked for an airline and since 1990 has travelled the world with two very disabled family members and is well experienced in the challenges which are encountered. Simon has a qualification in Health & Social Care. Simon is currently a business mentor for the charity 'The Prince's Trust'.  Simon has a vast experience of the cruising market and knows the frustrations of lack of choice for accessible excursions, the best place to sit in the theatre and how to educate the staff on board to learn all about the facilitoes available to the less mobile.

Steve Butterworth

Trustee and Treasurer.  Steve has three adult children in his family , one of whom has a severe learning difficulty. In his fifties he acquired a neurological condition similar to MS, which means that he can only walk a limited distance, find steps and stairs challenging and he now drives with the aid of hand controls. Steve continues to travel but spends far more time when planning a trip in order to ensure that everything meets his needs. A past treasurer and trustee of Southfield Riding for the Disabled Group, a Riding for the Disabled registered charity, Steve is currently the Chair of Governors of Montacute School, a special school for children aged 2-19 with severe, complex or profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Jamie Burr MSc

Trustee. Jamie spent much of his twenties exploring the different corners of the globe and lived in Paris for a couple of years working as an English language teacher. In 2020, he graduated from Bournemouth University with a Master’s in Tourism Management and began volunteering with Enable My Trip which helped him land his first role as a travel consultant. Jamie now works for the Tourism Marketing Agency, and draws on his expertise to help develop the charity. Jamie is instrumental in promoting the Charity through various social media channels and is our 'go to' personal for all matters promotional and internet marketing

Louise Northbrooke

Trustee. Louise is currently in her 27th year working within the travel industry, specialising in travel to Australia and New Zealand. During a career break Louise spent  ten years working as a teaching assistant in a local infant school. Some of this was spent working with children with a variety of special educational needs.  Louise was born with a bone disease that affects her tibia and as a result has some mobility issues. Louise says that  'Being involved with this charity has really been an eye opener. I am amazed at the amount of accommodation providers who simply do not provide services for those with a disability. Our charity aims to change all that' .

Patsy Hallmey BA(Hons)

Trustee. Patsy originally trained as teacher to post 16s with educational challenges. She has worked in marketing, communications and the exhibitions industry. In 2013, with her partner she formed the charity Dorset Children's Foundation (DCF), which supports disabled and life limited children and their families within the County. Patsy also is a committee member of the Regional Football Association's Diversity & Disabilty Inclusion Advisory Group.

Rob Scott

Trustee . Rob is a business director of a property management company who up until 2019 was a volunteer, serving as a Special Constable for 8 years. Rob has experience in working with the local council, in supporting housing and adaptations via grants to assist people with day to day living. Rob is well aware through his work, of the challenges facing mobility challenged customers who have difficulty in securing suitable accommodation to live in. ' I found that the Enable My Trip  website has helped me and my colleagues enormously, particularly in being able to understand fully the kinds of amenities that people need, particularly when on holiday, and I felt that I wanted to part of promoting this to a wider audience'.
