About Forda Lodges & Cottages

The whole site consists of an can accommodate large groups if required as it can accommodate up to 53 guests in total. One cottage, Forda Stables is suitable for wheelchair users, complete with wet room / roll-in shower, and can sleep up to six guests. Dogs are accepted in all accommodation except Forda Stables. Forda Stables – Disabled Cottage:

This cottage is rated level M3 (Mobility 3, assisted & non-assisted wheelchair users) under the National Accessible Standards - suitable for a person who depends on a wheelchair and transfers to and from a wheelchair in a seated position. The cottage has three bedrooms, including two twin-bedded rooms which are designed for a wheelchair user, with appropriate bed levels, wardrobes, dressing tables and mirrors. One of these has a disabled adapted bathroom en suite (bath seat-board available for use). There is also a separate disabled shower room and toilet. The shower is level-entry and is suitable for wheel-in; there is a pull-down seat fitted or a stronger more rigid shower chair is available. All rooms have low level light switches and sockets. There is also an emergency call system for the two bathrooms and disabled bedrooms. 

The Stables has a private patio with picnic table, with hard slabs and gentle slope with handrail access from French windows in the lounge. Unfortunately pets, including guide dogs, are unable to stay in the Stables as a majority of our disabled guests require a pet-free environment.
