Since the spring of 2022 The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow no longer has an accessible room with a ceiling track hoist, despite this being a well known feature sought after by visitors to Glasgow.

The accessible rooms at the Crown Plaza are on the 14th floor with views across the city. We stayed there shortly after Grenfell, which freaked us out a tad.There was no profiling bed and hiring one in effectively doubles the cost of an overnight stay. I think a ceiling hoist and profiling bed should be provided together. I struggled to carry out all care needs bent over a low bed. As a large chain, I think the CP should have a profiling bed as an option.
