What a great way to take a day out – just make up a party of your charity/community group, or family and friends – stock up with plenty of picnic fare, and set off on a journey of exploration along the river Stort through the idyllic Hertfordshire and Essex countryside. If you have mobility difficulties, or are a wheelchair user, you'll love our boats!
Each boat has a ramps & lifts to enable access via wheelchair and for people with impaired mobility, and other adaptive technology to allow everyone to take an active part in its operation. Unlike the majority of canal boats, our boats also have disabled toilet facilities and our holiday boats have full wet rooms rather than just a shower tray or a bath.

We offer day hire which consists of 4 hours cruising. In 4 hours you will travel through at least two locks and take in the idyllic scenery along the river Stort.
Travel to Roydon and back, taking in Parndon Mill and Hunsdon Mead nature reserve on the way. Alternatively cruise north past Harlow Mill towards Sawbridgeworth.
