The hotel overlooks the picturesque Cairns Esplanade, and is just moments from Cairns Lagoon and Cairns Casino. The hotel’s disabled rooms feature an accessible bathroom, with grab-rails at the sink, toilet and in the shower, as well as a fold-down chair. These rooms are only located on the ground floor. The hotel itself is accessible on two sides via ramp: the main entrance on Abbot Street has ramp access off the driveway; and there is an alternate ramp located on the Esplanade/Florence Street side of the building granting access to the rear and side of the hotel. The restaurant, as well as the lobby are wheelchair accessible. The swimming pool is accessed via an abbreviated set of stairs with a hand-rail. Commode shower chairs, hoists, scooters and other mobility equipment are available for hire.
